Screentones with Loom #2: Anatomy of a Halftone

Description

OH MY GOD. Too much scanning, too much reading! This took me...a very long time to do, so I hope you enjoy it!

And I lied. We didn't get to overlaying tones. There was too much to cover! With the lpi and the % and...and Cell.

But we *DID* learn what lpi (lines per inch) is, so that forms the basis for learning how to overlay tones. (Also, it forms the foundation for choosing how to convert to halftone screen in Photoshop. How to make tones look good in MangaStudio... It's the basis for many things...)

Next time...! Suggestions for future things welcome.

Planned Topics:

1. What is a Screentone?
2. Anatomy of a Halftone: Frequency, Angle, and Spot Shape
3. Before We Start: High-Res, Low-Res.
4. Moire Pattern and Overlays
